Nototriton saslaya Köhler, 2002, Herpetologica, 58: 205. Holotype: SMF 79408, by original designation. Type locality: "S slope of Cerro Saslaya (13° 46.0′ N, 85° 02.3′ W), 1371 m elevation, Región Autónoma Atlántico Norte, Nicaragua".

English Names

Saslaya Moss Salamander (Kubicki, Reyes, and Arias, 2022, Zootaxa, 5194: 489). 

Distribution

Known from inhabit two small patches of cloud forest within Saslaya National Park in north-central Nicaragua, Cerro Saslaya and Cerro El Torro, Atlántico, Nicaragua, 1280–1370 m elevation.
