Plethodon sherando Highton, 2004, Jeffersoniana, Martinsville, 14: 10. Holotype: USNM 556159, by original designation. Type locality: "northwest slope of Bald Mountain (37° 55′ 09″ N, 79° 04′ 00″ W) at an elevation of 1055 m, August County, Virginia", USA.

Distribution
