Comment

David Gower in Grismer and Pan, 2008, Herpetol. Rev., 39: 270–281, suggested that the taxonomic distinctiveness of Ichthyophis monochrous, Ichthyophis glutinosus, Ichthyophis singaporensis, and Ichthyophis paucisulcus needs confirmation via genetic analyses. Figueroa, Low, and Lim, 2023, Zootaxa, 5287: 1–378, provided records, literature, and conservation status for Singapore.
