Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Manaus) and 70 km north of there on the Reserva do Gavião INPA/WWF, state of Amazonas, Brazil.

Maciel and Hoogmoed, 2011, Zootaxa, 2984: 19-21, provided a detailed account and a spot map, and noted that previous records from Roraima and Amapá are based on misidentified Microcaecilia.
