Distribution
Known from two reserves (Ambohitantely and Ankafobe) in the district of Ankazobe , Analamanga Region, central Madagascar, and from Namoroka National Park, northwestern Madagascar.

Mullin, Firmin, White, Hailer, and Orozco-terWengel, 2022, MtDNA, Part B, 7: 153–155, reported on the complete mtDNA genome. Mezzasalma, Odierna, Brunelli, and Guarino, 2025, Genes, 16 (1464): 1–13, reported on the karyotype. Rasoloarison, Randriamahatantsoa, Rabibisoa, and Raxworthy, 2026, Malagasy Nat., 20: 30–46, reported the species in Namoroka National Park, northwestern Madagascar, and briefly detailed habitat.
