Centrolene petrophilum Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 58: 17. Holotype: ICN 9567, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento de Boyacá, municpio de Pajarito, Inspección de Policía Corinto, fina 'El Descanso'; quebrada 'La Limonita', vertiente oriental de la Cordillera Oriental, 5° 17′ latitud N, 72° 42′ W de Greenwich, 1600-1650 m".

Distribution

From the eastern side of the northern Cordillera Oriental of Colombia, 5°10′—5°30′ N, 1600-2020 m elevation.

See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 210. Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 58, regarded this species as incertae sedis within Centroleninae.
