Centrolene quindianum Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1995, Lozania, 65: 6. Holotype: ICN 24886, by original designation. Type locality: "Departamento de Quindío, municipio de Filania, vereda El Roble, Reserva Forestal Bremen, quebradas Las Cruces y La Popa, vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Central, 4° 40′ Latitud N, 75° 40′ W de Greenwich, 2000 a 2050 m."

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality in lower montane forest on the western slopes of the central Andes (Quindío, Risaralda, and Cauca, Colombia), 1900-2050 m elevation.

Comment

In the Centrolene prosoblepon group, according to the original publication. Rada and Guayasamin, 2008, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 48: 99, provided the record for Cauca, Colombia. Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 58, regarded this species as incertae sedis within Centroleninae. Ríos-Soto, Ospina-L., and Vargas-Salinas, 2017, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 12: 117–127, reported on advertisement call and reproductive ecology.
