Distribution

Cloud forests of the eastern Cordillera of the Ecuadorian Andes; currently known from four localities: Las Caucheras, Yanayacu Biological Station (Napo Province), Chamanapamba Reserve, and Río Pucayaku in Nelson Palacios Reserve (Tungurahua Province), at elevations of 2100–2586 m.

Comment

In the Centrolene buckleyi complex, previously confused with Centrolene buckleyi, delimited on the basis of morphometric, osteological, call, and genetic data according to the original publication. J. M. Guayasamin, L. A. Coloma, and A. Terán-Valdez in Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 4: 427–429, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
