Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni by Castroviejo-Fisher, Vilà, Ayarzagüena, Blanc, and Ernst, 2011, Zootaxa, 3132: 16, where it had been placed by Goin, 1964, Herpetologica, 20: 1. Castroviejo-Fisher, Vilà, Ayarzagüena, Blanc, and Ernst, 2011, Zootaxa, 3132: 1-55, provided an account and suggested that Hyalinobatrachium cappellei is the sister taxon of Hyalinobatrachium iaspidense + Hylinobatrachium tricolor. Señaris and Ayarzagüena, 2005, Rev. Taxonom. Fam. Centrolenidae de Venezuela: 161-172 (as Hyalinobatrachium crurifasciatum), page 182-183 (as Hyalinobatrachium eccentricum), provided a review of the morphology, natural history, and range of this species. Rodrigues, Lima, Morais, and Kawashita-Ribeiro, 2010, Check List, 6: 392-394, provided a range extension into Brazil as well as a dot map as Hyalinobatrachium crurifasciatum. Barrio-Amorós and Castroviejo-Fisher, 2008, Salamandra, 44: 235-240, detailed the range of the species as Hyalinobatrachium ignioculus. Barrio-Amorós and Castroviejo-Fisher, 2008, Salamandra, 44: 235. Castroviejo-Fisher, Vilà, Ayarzagüena, Blanc, and Ernst, 2011, Zootaxa, 3132: 1-55, provided a detailed account. See account for Surinam population (as Hyalinobatrachium crurifasciatum) by Ouboter and Jairam, 2012, Amph. Suriname: 78-79.Simões, Kaefer, Gomes, and Lima, 2012, Check List, 8: 636-637, provided a record for Amazonas, Brazil, and commented on the range. See Cole, Townsend, Reynolds, MacCulloch, and Lathrop, 2013, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 125: 382, for brief account and records for Guyana. Reported from the municipalities of Cartagena del Chairá and Solano, department of Caquetá, Colombia, a 1000 km range extension west of the nearest locality in Venezuela, reported by Thompson, Medina-Rangel, and Ruiz-Valderrama, 2018, Check List, 14: 945–949. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph.
