Hyalinobatrachium carlesvilai Castroviejo-Fisher, Padial, Chaparro, Aguayo-Vedia, and De la Riva, 2009, Zootaxa, 2143: 26. Holotype: MHNCP 5339, by original designation. Type locality: "from a point between Santa Rosa and San Juan del Oro (14°12′49.1″ S, 69°08′09.5″ W; 1135 m), Provincia Sandia, Departamento Puno, Peru".

English Names

Distribution

Amazonian Andean slopes of Peru and Bolivia; in Peru from 29 km northeast of Tingo María and the valleys of Marcapata and upper Tambopata, Departments of San Martín, Ucuyali, Huánuco, Cusco, and Puno, respectively; in Bolivia in the Provinces of Chapare and Carrasco (Departamento Cochabamba) and the Amboró National Park (Provincia Ichilo, Departamento Santa Cruz); also reported in the northern part of Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Comment

Previously confused with Hyalinobatrachium munozorum and Hyalinobatrachium bergeri according to the original publication, where external morphology molecular markers, and advertisement call were reported. Cisneros-Heredia, Strüssmann, Ávila, and Kawashita-Ribeiro, 2010, Check List, 6: 225–226, reported the species in northern Mato Grosso, Brazil.
