Comment

Resurrected from the synonymy of Micrixalus baluensis by Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 52, where it had been placed by Van Kampen, 1923, Amph. Indo-Austral. Arch.: 241 (this synonymy considered tentative by Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 255). Considered a junior synonym of Ingerana baluensis by Inger and Tan, 1996, Raffles Bull. Zool., 44: 559; without discussion. Brown, Siler, Richards, Diesmos, and Cannatella, 2015, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 174: 142, recognized the species as distinct and transferred it provisionally to Alcalus
