Dryadobates alagoanus (Bokermann, 1967)
Phyllobates alagoanus Bokermann, 1967, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 27: 351. Holotype: WCAB 2801, by original designation; now MZUSP 73707, by museum records. Type locality: "Mangabeiras, Estado de Alagoas, Brasil".

Distribution
Both sides of the Rio São Francisco, with most localities in the Pernambuco Coastal Forest and Atlantic Forest enclaves within the adjacent Caatinga below 300 m elevation within ca. 50 km of the coast in the states of Sergipe, Alagoas, and Pernambuco; tentatively assigned is a record from ca. 900 m in the Serra da Paciência of the Jacobina Range, near Pindobaçu, Bahia, to D. alagoanus as well.

Removed from the synonymy of Dryadobates olfersioides by Grant, Lyra, Hofreiter, Preick, Barlow, Verdade, and Rodrigues, 2025, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 472: 22 (who provided a substantial account), where it had been placed by Verdade and Rodrigues, 2007, J. Herpetol., 41: 572.
