Atlantic coastal plain of Brazil from southern Rio de Janeiro (state) north through Espírito Santo, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, and Pernambuco.

Comment

The sister taxon of Allobates, according to the original publication, where molecular systematics was detailed as were morphological synapomorphies.
