Distribution

Known only from the type locality (between Costa Bela and Praia de Capuba, Serra, Espírito Santo, Brazil, 20°06'14"S, 40°11'26"W, 20 m), an isolated 0.384 km² fragment of Atlantic Forest bounded by the urban developments of Praia de Capuba and Costa Bela and tree-farming plantations

Comment

Priori to its description ths critically endangered species was confused with both Allobates olfersioides and Allobates capixaba according to the original description, where the species was distinguished on the basis of comparative morphology, advertisement call, and advertisement calls.
