Aromobates ornatissimus Barrio-Amorós, Rivero, and Santos, 2011, Zootaxa, 3063: 41. Holotype: EBRG 5292, by original designation. Type locality: "Las Palmas, Municipio Carache, Estado Trujillo, Venezuela, 09º 41′ 47″ N, 70º 08′ 24″ W (9.6964 N-70.1400 W); elevation 2350 m".
