Mannophryne molinai Rojas-Runjaic, Matta-Pereira, and La Marca, 2018, Zootaxa, 4461: 454. Holotype: MHNLS 21355, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada La Rondona, Sierra de Aroa, Sucre municipality, Yaracuy state, Venezuela (10°19’20.8”N, 68o52’24.0”W; 1180 m asl. . .)". Sierra de Aroa Collared Frog (original publication). 


Known only from its type locality (La Rondona), at the southeastern slope of Sierra de Aroa, in the western portion of the Cordillera de la Costa; possibly from the northeastern and western foothills of Sierra de Aroa, all in Yaracuy state, Venezuela.
