Euphlyctis aloysii Joshy, Alam, Kurabayashi, Sumida, and Kuramoto, 2009, Alytes, 26: 101. Holotype: BNHS 5123, by original designation. Type locality: "Bajpe, Mangalore", Karnataka, India".

English Names

Aloysi Skittering Frog (Deuti, Sethy, and Ray, 2014, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, 114: 128).

Distribution

Currently known only from Adyar and Bajpe, possibly to Mudigere, in Mangalore, Karnataka, and Horsley Hill, Andhra Pradesh, 1236 m elevation, India. 

Comment

Apparently the sister taxon of Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis and possibly composed of two mtDNA units according to the original publication. Subramanian, Dinesh, and Radhakrishnan, 2013, Atlas of Endemic Amph. W. Ghats: 42, provided a very brief characterization, photograph, and dot map. Deuti, Sethy, and Ray, 2014, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, 114: 128, provided a  brief account for the population of Andhra Pradesh, India.
