Distribution
Western Guizhou Province (Shuicheng, Weining) and eastern to central Yunnan Province (Dongchuan, Yimen, Guandu), China, 1400 to 2100 m elevation.
Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Nanorana yunnanensis by Huang, Hu, Song, Zhou, and Jiang, 2016, Integrative Zool., 11: 144, where it had been placed by Liu and Hu, 1961, Tailless Amph. China: 162, and Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 45.
