Distribution
Known from Quang Binh (Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve) and Thua Thien Hue (Sao La Nature Reserve) provinces, central Vietnam; Xekong Province, Laos.

Previously confused with Quasipaa delacouri by Yan, Nneji, Jin, Yuan, Chen, Mi, Chen, Murphy, and Che, 2021, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 163 (107218): 1–7, and referred to Quasipaa cf. verrucospinosa 2 by Suwannapoom, Nguyen, Poyarkov, Wu, Pawangkhanant, Lorphengsy, and Che, 2021, Biodiversity Data J., 9 (e70473): 1–12, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology and molecular markers were detailed.
