Quasipaa yunkaiensis Qi, Lyu, Song, Wang, Li, Li, and Wang, 2025, Asian Herpetol. Res., 16: 325. Holotype: SYS a008351, by original designation. Type locality: "from a stream near the Dongtang Management Station (22.2655° N, 111.1920° E; ca 1 200 m a.s.l.), Yunkaishan National Nature Reserve, Xinyi City, Guangdong Province, China." Not registered with ZooBank, so likely not validly published inasmuch as there is no evidence that the journal is paper published (DRF).

Distribution
Known from the vicinity of the type locality, Yunkaishan National Nature Reserve, Guangdong, China, in montane streams at elevations between 1200–1550 m elevation, with surrounding habitat of evergreen secondary forest.
