Pseudopaludicola atragula Pansonato, Mudrek, Veiga-Menoncello, Rossa-Feres, Martins, and Strüssmann, 2014, Zootaxa, 3861: 251. Holotype: UFMT 16576, by original designation. Type locality: "a permanent swamp (20° 20’ 31” S; 49° 11’ 42” W) in the smallholding named 'sítio Boa Esperança', municipality of Icém, northwest region of the state of São Paulo, Brazil".

Distribution
Known from the type locality (Municipality of Icém and municipality of Nova Aliança in São Paulo, the municipality of Itarumã in Goiás, and with less confidence, from Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Comment
Only distinguishable from Pseudopaludicola facureae by advertisement call and morphometry according to the original publication, where external morphology, advertisement call, and karyotype were described. Andrade, Ramalho, Carvalho, and Maciel, 2016, Check List, 12(5: 1961): 1–5, provided a record from Goias, Brazil, and well as information on vocalization. Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 142–143, provided an account for Goiás, Brazil.
