Comment

In the Pseudopaludicola pusilla group of Lynch, 1989, Copeia, 1989: 577-588. Myers and Donnelly, 2001, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 261: 43-49, provided an account. Barrio-Amorós and Chacón-Ortiz, 2002, Herpetol. Rev., 33: 222, provided a range extension and commented on the distribution. Barrio-Amorós, 1999 "1998", Acta Biol. Venezuelica, 18: 50, noted that Lynch, 1989, Copeia, 1989: 577-588, confused this species with Pseudopaludicola pusillaGuarnizo, Paz, Muñoz-Ortiz, Flechas-Hernández, Méndez-Narváez, and Crawford, 2016, PLoS One, 10(5: e0127312): 1–20, suggested on the basis of molecular evidence that two species may exist in Colombia under this binomial. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 101, for comments on range (with special reference to Venezuela) and literature.
