Paludicola exigua Rivero, 1961, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 126: 86. Nomen nudum provided in synonymy of Paludicola pusilla Ruthven. Reported incorrectly as having been coined by Boettger, 1896, Ber. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 1896: liv. Based on specimens in SMF from "Inírida", Venezuela.

Distribution
Lower and Middle Magdalena River valley and the Caribbean lowlands of northern Colombia and Maracaibo Basin in Venezuela.
