Paratelmatobius yepiranga Garcia, Berneck, and Costa, 2009, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 4: 218. Holotype: MZUSP 137563, by original designation. Type locality: "Parque das Neblinas (23° 44′ 52″ W; 46° 08′ 30″ S, 767 m elevation), Bertioga municipality, São Paulo, Brazil".

In the Paratelmatobius cardosoi group according to the original publication, where the external morphology, vocalization, and larval anatomy was discussed. Santos, Vilela, Carvalho, Silva, Rodrigues, Garcia, Carvalho, and Haddad, 2025, Herpetologica, 81: 264–278, reported on the advertisement call.
