Rupirana kaatinga Mângia, Amaral, Müller, and Santana, 2025, J. Vert. Biol., Prague, 74(24121): 5. Holotype: ZUFMS-AMP20347, by original designation. Type locality: "Cafundó, Gentio do Ouro municipality, Bahia state, Brazil (11°12’41.21’’ S, 42°35’16.96’’ W, 829 m a.s.l.)". No Zoobank registration so will take the date of "publication" from the date of distribution of paper copies to significant libraries..
