Ophryophryne synoria Stuart, Sok, and Neang, 2006, Raffles Bull. Zool., 54: 135. Holotype: FMNH 262779, by original designation. Type locality: "Chung Chry Strea,, near 12° 17′ 30″ N 107° 03′ 06″ E, 500 m elev., Seima Biodiversity Conservation Area, O'Rang District, Mondolkiri Province, Cambodia".

Common Names

O'Reang Horned Frog (Neang and Holden, 2008, Field Guide Amph. Cambodia: 47; Vassilieva, Galoyan, Poyarkov, and Geissler, 2016, Photograph. Field Guide Amph. Rept. Lowland S. Vietnam: 54).

O’Reang Mountain Toad (Poyarkov, Duong, Orlov, Gogoleva, Vassilieva, Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, Che, and Mahony, 2017, ZooKeys, 672: 83).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Chung Chry Stream, near 12° 17′ 30″ N 107° 03′ 06″ E, 500 m elev., Seima Biodiversity Conservation Area, O'Rang District, Mondolkiri Province, Cambodia) and southern Vietnam in Bu Gia Map National Park, Binh Phuoc Province, and Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai Province, as well as Dak Nong Province.

Neang and Holden, 2008, Field Guide Amph. Cambodia: 47, provided a photograph, brief account of identification, ecology, and range in Cambodia. See account, photograph, and map in Vassilieva, Galoyan, Poyarkov, and Geissler, 2016, Photograph. Field Guide Amph. Rept. Lowland S. Vietnam: 54–56. Poyarkov, Duong, Orlov, Gogoleva, Vassilieva, Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, Che, and Mahony, 2017, ZooKeys, 672: 1–120, redelimited the species and (pp. 82–83) discussed the range and literature. Luong, Nguyen, Pham, and Nguyen, 2018, Proc. 3rd Natl. Sci. Conf. Biol. Res. Teaching Vietnam: 284–290, provided a record for Dak Nong Province, Vietnam, and commented on morphology and habitat.
