Previously reported as Xenophrys maosonensis by Saikia, Sinha, Thakur, and Kharkongor, 2019, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, 119: 456–462, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology and molecular markers (16S mtDNA) were detailed.
