Vicinity of the type locality (Nahampoana) and Manantantely and Andohahela National Park in southeastern Madagascar.


Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 142-143, provided an account. Vences, Glaw, Köhler, and Wollenberg, 2010, Contrib. Zool., Amsterdam, 79: 32, provided new localities other than the type locality.
