Plethodontohyla inguinalis Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 473. Holotype: BMNH, by original designation, this being BMNH 1882.3.16.30 according to Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 35, now renumbered to 1947.2.10.34 according to museum records. Type locality: "East Betsileo", Madagascar.
