Plethodontohyla ocellata Noble and Parker, 1926, Am. Mus. Novit., 232: 14. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.10.43 according to Blommers-Schlösser and Blanc, 1991, Faune de Madagascar, 75: 65 (formerly 1925.11.10.1 according to Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 45). Type locality: "Antsihanaka, Madagascar".
