Comment

Probably derived from Hypopachus according to Carvalho, 1954, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 555: 16. Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543–583, placed Dasypops, within their set of exemplars, as the sister of a group composed of Elachistocleis, Dermatonotus, Hamptophryne, Hypopachus, and Gastrophryne.
