Type locality: "Kolukkumalai shola forest (Eravikulam National Park, Idukki District, Kerala State, South India) . . . . . The locality is situated approximately 2200 m above sea level (100° 12′ N and 770° 02′ E)". Distribution

High elevations of the Western Ghats; known only from ‘Anamallaye’ and Grass Hills in Tamil Nadu state, Eravikulam in Anamudi summit, Hut shola, Bhimanoda, Kolukkumalai, and Poovar in Kerala, India, 500–2000 m elevation.
