Natural resident: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela
Comment
Wilkinson and Nussbaum, 2006, In Exbrayat (ed.), Reprod. Biol. Phylog. Gymnophiona: 39-78 [49, 69], suggested that the monophyly of this taxon is undocumented with respect to Mimosiphonops. See comment under Luetkenotyphlus.
