Nymphargus manduriacu Guayasamin, Cisneros-Heredia, Vieira, Kohn, Gavilanes, Lynch, Hamilton, and Maynard, 2019, PeerJ, 7(e6400): 7. Holotype: ZSFQ 0466, by original designation. Distribution

Known from a few streams within the Río Manduriacu Reserve (0.31°N, 78.85°W), Imbabura province, on the Pacific slopes of the Andes of Ecuador, 1215 to 1250 m elevation.

Vol. 4: 282–283, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map), conservation, and (on p. 412) vocalization.
