Known only from several localities in the Departamento Cuzco, Peru.

Comment

In the Cochranella ocellata group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 58, and Köhler, 2000, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 48: 69, consider this species possibly to occur in Bolivia. Torres-Gastello, Suárez-Segovia, and Cisneros-Heredia, 2007, J. Natl. Mus. Prague, Nat. Hist. Ser., 176: 10, provided localities beyond the type locality in Peru.
