Southwestern Costa Rica to to southwestern Colombia, below 1600 m elevation.
Comment
Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543–583, confirmed the sister taxon relationship of Silverstoneia and Epipedobates. Köhler, 2011, Amph. Cent. Am.: 138–139, provided a key to the species of Silverstoneia in Central America and provided maps and photographs of the species.
