Fejervarya sengupti Purkayastha and Matsui, 2012, Asian Herpetol. Res., Ser. 2, 3: 32. Holotype: V/A/NERC/ZSI 1100, by original designation. Type locality: "Mawphlang, East Khasi Hill District, Meghalaya, India (25° 26′ 42.68″ N, 91° 45′ 10.99″ E, 1824 m a.s.l.)".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Mawphlang, Meghalaya, northeastern India), although expected to be more widely distributed.
Comment
External morphology and advertisement call detailed in the original publication. Garg and Biju, 2021, Asian Herpetol. Res., 12: 345–370, summarized the systematics of this member of the Minervarya agricola group and mapped its distribution.
