Comment

Most similar to Paa quadranus according to the original publication. Chen and Jiang, 2004, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 29: 381–385, redescribed the species. Dubois, Crombie, and Glaw, 2005, Alytes, 23: 43, noted that the name, even though a patronymic for a woman is not emendable to yeae (see also Brandon-Jones, Duckworth, Jenkins, Rylands, and Sarmiento, 2007, Zootaxa, 1541: 41–48, and Dubois, 2007, Zootaxa, 1550: 49–68). Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1443–1449, provided an accounts (as Yerana yei), figures, and map. Not addressed, and therefore not assigned to subgenus, by Che, Zhou, Hu, Papenfuss, Wake, and Zhang, 2010, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, 107: 13765–13770, and Che, Zhou, Hu, Papenfuss, Wake, and Zhang, 2010, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, Suppl. Inform., doi:10.1073/pnas.1008415107/-/DCSupplemental: 2. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 386–387, provided a brief account (as Yerana yei) including photographs of specimens and habitat. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 474–475, provided an account (as Yerana yei), photographs, and a range map for China. Yan, Nneji, Jin, Yuan, Chen, Mi, Chen, Murphy, and Che, 2021, Mol. Phylogenet.
