I attempt to summarize here what work I have done on ASW starting 1 January 2023. This log does not include error corrections and the like and I cannot promise that there will not be errors of omission or commission inasmuch as this log is not constructed automatically.
3 June 2023: Replaced Allopaa barmoachensis into the synonymy of Allopaa hazarensis (Dicroglossidae), following the publication by Dubois, 2023, Alytes, 39–40: 160–184.
3 June 2023: Added comments under Hylarana erythraea, Hylarana macrodactyla, Hylarana taipehensis, and Hylarana tytleri (Ranidae), noting the publication of Laurence, Nicolas, Ayoro, and Ohler, 2023, Zootaxa, 5258: 99–112, who provided a dot maps of these species and modeled distributions, and discussed distribution modelling and the effect of misidentifications on those models.
3 June 2023: Added Mixophyes australis (Myobatrachidae), named by Mahony, Bertozzi, Guzinski, Hines, and Donnellan, 2023, Zootaxa, 5297: 301–336, from Gloucester Tops National Park, New South Wales, Australia. Represents the southern component of the range of Mixophyes balbus as previously understood.

29 May 2023: Added Stefania maccullochi (Hemiphractidae), named by Kok, 2023, Zool. Lett., 9(11): 1–20, from the summit of Wei-Assipu-tepui, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Guyana. An osteological synapomorphy of the genus was also discussed.
29 May 2023: Modified the range statement of Microhyla nakkavaram (Microhylidae) to include Sumatra, Indonesia, to reflect the publication of Eprilurahman, Atmaja, Munir, Ubaidillah, Arisuryanti, Smith, and Hamidy, 2023, Biodiversitas, 24: 1092–1103, who also suggested that populations of nominal Microhyla heymonsi of West Malaysia and Singapore represent an unnamed species close to M. nakkavaran.
29 May 2023: Added a comment under Triturus cristatus (Salamandridae), noting the publicaiton of Naumov, Lukanov, Vacheva, and Slavchev, 2023, Acta Zool. Bulgarica, 75: 113–122, who reported on distribution and ecology in Bulgaria.

21 May 2023: Added comments to the species of Iran, noting the publication of Safaei-Mahroo, Ghaffari, and Niamir, 2023, Zootaxa, 5279: 1–112, who provided for Iranian amphibians an identification key including this species, photographs, habitat and conservation threats, a review of the literature, discussion of nomenclature and systematics, as well as dot and modeled distribution maps.
21 May 2023: Modified the range state for Raorchestes andersoni (Rhacophoridae) and added a comment under that species, noting the publication of Wangyal and Jamtsho, 2022, Hamadryad, 39: 12–19, who reported the species (photo voucher only) from Zangling village, Shingkhar Gewog (sub-District), Zhemgang District, southern Bhutan. Herpetol., 25: 28–33, who transferred the populations of nominal Oreobates discoidalis from Jujuy and Salta, Argentina, to Oreobates berdemenos on the basis of call structure. They did not report on the calls from the type locality of Oreobates discoidalis (Tucumán) or from populations assigned to this species from Bolivia, nothing that both now require confirmation as does the taxonomic status of Oreobates berdemenos itself (named in 2014) with respect to Oreobates discoidalis (named in 1895).
